Basic administrative functions – including initial enrollment registration, Ontario Student Record (OSR) creation and maintenance, digital Ontario Student Transcript (OST) generation, and standard online exam proctoring – are fully covered by the base tuition fee with no hidden basic charges.

In accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Education requirements, each full credit represents exactly 110 scheduled instructional hours, and prerequisites must be strictly verified prior to course enrollment. Students may utilize Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) or Mature Student Assessment (MSA) pathways where applicable.

[BAF3M] Financial Accounting Fundamentals, Grade 11 (University/College Prep)

Course Description: This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and procedures of modern financial accounting. Students will develop financial analysis and decision-making skills as they acquire an understanding of the accounting cycle and financial statements for service and merchandising businesses. Students will explore accounting for assets, liabilities, and equity, alongside ethical issues in accounting and the impact of technology on financial reporting. This course prepares students for senior-level business programs and postsecondary business education.

International Prerequisite: None.

PLAR & MSA Admissions Pathways: Continuous enrollment is open. Out-of-province or overseas student placement is determined via PLAR Equivalency (Form OSR-PLAR-01). Mature students over 18 may write the MSA Online Evaluation to establish general admission baselines.

Academic Audit & Implementation Notes: Excellent elective course for students seeking to build corporate literacy. This course serves as the mandatory prerequisite for senior Grade 12 Financial Accounting Principles (BAT4M).

[BAT4M] Financial Accounting Principles, Grade 12 (University/College Prep)

Grade Level: Grade 12 | Credit Value & Hours: 1.0 Credit (110 Scheduled Instructional Hours) | Delivery Format: 100% Online Asynchronous (www.techstudy.ca) OR 100% In-Person Site-Based (Vaughan Campus)

Course Description: This course introduces students to advanced accounting principles that will prepare them for postsecondary studies in business and accounting. Students will learn about financial statements for corporations, accounting methods for partnerships, and analytical techniques for evaluating organizational performance. The course explores internal control systems, accounting for specialized inventory, corporate tax structures, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS), encouraging students to analyze accounting data for decision-making.

Domestic Prerequisite: Financial Accounting Fundamentals, Grade 11, University/College Preparation (BAF3M).

International Prerequisite: Evaluated equivalent of Grade 11 Accounting (BAF3M) verified via certified transcript translation and PLAR Equivalency Review.

PLAR & MSA Admissions Pathways: Equivalency evaluation is processed via Form OSR-PLAR-01. If a student has relevant real-world business experience or bookkeeping credentials, the Principal may waive the BAF3M prerequisite using Form OSR-WAIVE-01 to allow direct entry into BAT4M.

Academic Audit & Implementation Notes: Highly recommended for students preparing for university business, commerce, finance, and accounting programs (such as Rotman, Schulich, or Ivey).

[BOH4M] Business Leadership: Management Fundamentals, Grade 12 (University/College)

Course Description: This course focuses on the development of leadership and management skills used in navigating modern commercial corporations. Students will analyze the core roles of a business leader, focusing on operational planning, organizational structuring, employee motivation, conflict resolution, and managing corporate change. The course emphasizes effective business communication, ethical corporate social responsibility, and the development of analytical problem-solving skills, preparing students for business management careers.

Domestic Prerequisite: None.

International Prerequisite: None.

PLAR & MSA Admissions Pathways: Equivalency credits are granted by the Principal through PLAR Equivalency (Form OSR-PLAR-01) for out-of-province or international students. Mature student pathways apply under PPM No. 132.

Academic Audit & Implementation Notes: BOH4M satisfies the additional ‘Group 2’ or ‘STEM-related course group’ compulsory credit requirement for the OSSD, making it an exceptionally popular and flexible credit.

🎓 Step 4: Complete Enrollment Once your fee payment is successfully processed, your enrollment is finalized! You will receive your Enrolment Contract, Letter of Acceptance (LOA), and immediate access to your course materials on techstudy.ca.
