Registration Fee
Application Registration Fee: To process an Admission Intake Application and review student files, Am-Can Business & Tech Institute collects a standard registration fee of $150.00 CAD at the time of application. If Registration is Approved: If your application is successful and you are issued an Offer of Admission, the $150.00 registration fee is automatically *applied as a credit toward your total tuition fee and adjusted accordingly. Once the application is approved, this $150 fee is non-refundable. If Registration is Not Approved: We are committed to academic integrity. If your registration is denied by our Admissions Team solely because you do not meet the mandated prerequisite criteria for your requested courses, your $150.00 registration fee is 100% refundable.
Refund Processing: The full refund will be issued automatically via the exact same method used for the initial payment.
Tuition and Fee Structure Summary
Am-Can Business & Tech Institute offers transparent, flat-fee pricing per 1.0 credit course. Students who choose our highly flexible 100% Online delivery model automatically receive a 25% tuition reduction compared to our premium in-person baseline rates.

Equal Application of Policy: This registration and refund policy is applied equally and fairly to all applicants, regardless of whether they are applying as domestic students within Canada or as international students studying abroad.

2. Multi-Course Enrollment Discount
We proudly support students completing full academic pathways (such as Pre-Med, Engineering, or Business) with us.
The 25% Multi-Course Savings: Students who enroll in more than one course simultaneously receive an additional 25% discount on the tuition of their second (and any subsequent) courses.
Example: A Domestic student enrolling in two 100% online courses will pay $412.50 for the first course, and only $309.38 for the second course.
3. Specialized Administrative Fees
Basic administrative tasks are completely covered by your flat tuition. Additional fees are only triggered if a student requires specialized services or requests changes to their academic pathway after enrollment:
Mature Student Assessment (MSA) Test ($69.00 CAD): Required only for adult learners (18+) who do not possess a secondary diploma or verifiable transcripts to meet prerequisites.
Course Transfer Fee ($100.00 CAD): Applied if a student switches to a different course (e.g., from Physics to Chemistry) after the initial 48-hour cooling-off period.
Course Extension Fee ($150.00 CAD): Grants a 3-month access extension for students who need more time beyond the standard 12-month continuous intake window to finish their 110 hours.
PLAR Challenge ($250.00 CAD): An assessment fee for challenging a course for credit based on prior learning/experience outside the traditional Ontario system.
OSSLT Hosting Fee ($150.00 CAD): Applied only if Am-Can is designated to physically host, invigilate, and process your mandatory provincial literacy test.
Tuition and Fee Disclaimer Subject to Change: Am-Can Business & Tech Institute reserves the right to review and adjust tuition rates, administrative fees, and discount structures at any time without prior public notice. Any published changes will take effect immediately and apply strictly to new student registrations, subsequent course enrollments, and newly generated intake cohorts.
Refund Policy
At Am-Can Business & Tech Institute, we believe in transparent, straightforward pricing. The following policy governs the initial application and registration fees for all courses:
1. Application Registration Fee
To process an Admission Intake Application and review academic files, Am-Can Business & Tech Institute collects a standard registration fee of $150.00 CAD at the time of application.
2. Non-Transferable but Adjustable Credit
Non-Transferable: The $150.00 registration fee is strictly non-transferable between individuals. It cannot be reassigned or credited to another student’s account or application.
Course Adjustment: If a student is approved for admission but is ultimately unable to attend or complete the specific course for which the fee was originally paid, the $150.00 credit is fully adjustable. The school will safely hold and apply this credit toward the tuition fee of a new or alternative course selected by the student.
3. If Registration is Approved
If your application is successful and you choose to proceed with your scheduled cohort, the $150.00 registration fee is automatically applied as a credit toward your total tuition fee and adjusted accordingly. Once an application is approved and enrollment is finalized, this fee is non-refundable.
4. If Registration is Not Approved
We are committed to academic integrity. If your registration is denied by our Admissions Team because you do not meet the mandated prerequisite criteria or Mature Student Assessment (MSA) standards for your requested courses, your $150.00 registration fee is 100% refundable.
Refund Processing: The full refund will be issued automatically via the exact same method used for the initial payment.
5. Equal Application of Policy
This registration, adjustment, and refund policy is applied equally and fairly to all applicants, regardless of whether they are applying as domestic students within Canada, visa students, or international students studying abroad.

Total Course Tuition – $150 Registration Fee (Already Paid) = Remaining Balance Due
When the Admissions Team sends the official Offer of Admission, the attached invoice will only reflect the remaining balance.

Example 1: Domestic Student (100% Online Delivery)
Total Tuition: $412.50 CAD
Registration Fee Paid with Application: -$150.00 CAD
Adjusted Invoice Sent to Student: $262.50 CAD (Once the student pays the $262.50 balance, their enrollment is complete).
Example 2: International Student (100% Online Delivery)
Total Tuition: $862.50 CAD
Registration Fee Paid with Application: -$150.00 CAD
Adjusted Invoice Sent to Student: $712.50 CAD
Example 3: Domestic Student Enrolling in Two Online Courses (Multi-Course Discount)
Total Tuition: $412.50 (1st Course) + $309.38 (2nd Course) = $721.88 CAD

What Happens if the Application is Denied?
If the Registration Team determines the student does not meet the required prerequisites, the adjustment formula does not apply. Instead, the application is cancelled, and the $150 is refunded in full (100%) back to the original payment method.
